[An african-american looking butch, Angel, with skinny neat dreads tied back wears a pink striped button up shirt, buttoned all the way up with a small red patterned bow tie. Angel also wears black heavy framed glasses, dark blue-black jeans rolled up to show ankles and white leather brogues.]
So clearly Angel isn’t chubby. but damn look at that cute style. There is not much I like better than a DAPPER chubby butch and this character has dapper all sorted plus with words of advice about being and staying dapper!

I recently had the pleasure of catching up with Angel C. McArthur, creative genius behind Malak ni LLC, maker of fine bowties, ties and pocket squares. I asked Angel how she keeps her look so fresh and clean. She had this to share with QueerBOIS:
1. Quality- Quality doesn’t mean I have to pay the most expensive prices for quality but knowing WHEN to purchase those quality pieces.
2. Brands- I know what brands fit my frame to the “T.” I always try to make sure to seek out other styles in different brands that will continue to add to my personal style and fit.
3. Mastering my own Look- I try to stay away from “trendy” items. I like to keep things basic AND be able to wear them in different ways so that it feels like its brand new every time.
4. Clothing Care- I take pride in knowing how to preserve color in my shirts and jeans….HANG DRY. Everything doesn’t have to go to the cleaners. Chemicals from the cleaners can sometimes strain the quality in some of your pieces. Also, drying most pieces in the dryer is a no go because the heat and the tumbler sometimes destroy your clothing bit by bit hence, the leftover lint.Visit Malakni.com for your next bowtie, tie or pocket squear.
Got to love the homie!
